How Mold and Internal Frame Design Affect TPE Torso Manufacturing

A look inside TPE torso manufacturing, from fiberglass molds and cooling time to the wrapped stainless steel frames used inside heavyweight products.—Ningbo Yammy Plastic Co.,Ltd

For realistic TPE products, the finished appearance is only one part of the manufacturing process. Behind a large TPE torso or hip are several structural elements that directly affect production efficiency, stability and durability.

Two important components are the mold and internal frame.

The photo above shows a fiberglass mold prepared with an internal stainless steel frame before TPE casting.

Fiberglass Molds for TPE Products

We use different mold types depending on the product and production requirements.

The red mold shown here is a fiberglass mold. Compared with copper molds, fiberglass molds have slower heat dissipation.

After hot TPE material is poured into the mold, sufficient cooling time is required before demolding. For a large product like this, a fiberglass mold can typically produce around one piece per day.

This is one reason mold quantity and mold type directly affect production capacity for large TPE products.

For higher-volume models, multiple molds may be used to improve production efficiency.

Why Do Some TPE Products Need an Internal Frame?

Heavyweight products such as large realistic torsos may require an internal frame to provide structural support.

For these products, we use a stainless steel internal frame positioned inside the mold before casting.

The frame helps maintain the intended structure of the finished product, especially for larger and heavier designs.

But placing bare metal directly inside soft TPE creates another consideration.

Why Is the Stainless Steel Frame Wrapped?

As shown in the photo, the stainless steel structure is covered with a layer of wrapping material before the TPE is poured.

The purpose is straightforward:

to reduce direct contact between hard metal edges and the surrounding soft TPE.

Without adequate protection, concentrated pressure from the metal structure could potentially damage or puncture the TPE during handling and long-term use.

Wrapping the frame creates a softer buffer around the metal structure and helps protect the surrounding material.

For heavyweight OEM TPE torso manufacturing, details like this are important because internal construction cannot be judged simply from the finished product’s appearance.

Manufacturing Details Matter in OEM Projects

A realistic TPE product is not simply TPE poured into a mold.

Depending on the design, manufacturing may involve:

  • Mold selection
  • Cooling time and production capacity
  • Internal stainless steel structure
  • Protective frame wrapping
  • TPE material selection
  • Product weight and softness
  • Demolding and finishing

For distributors and private-label brands, understanding these details can also help when evaluating production capacity, product construction and OEM options.

We manufacture realistic TPE products including pocket masturbators, breasts, hips and heavyweight torsos, with OEM and private-label support available for different market requirements.
